The One Where It All Started

The initiative for the farewell to be given to the graduating students of the Law Department was taken by students of the pre-final year students & 3rd-year students of the department under the leadership of Dr Rashi Malik, & Ms Manpreet Kaur. Anway Adhikari, of B.A-LL.B. 2020, was selected as the student convenor for the event & Amar Gaur, of B.A-LL.B. 2021, as the student co-convenor.

The One Where They Organised

A Google Form was circulated among the students of the department on the 2nd of May for students who are interested in being part of the farewell to register & showcase their talent. The form was closed on the 5th & a selection round of the students where organised in Room No A509 of the Law Block. The practice & preparations for the event started on the 7th of May.

The One Where They Said Bon Voyage

The event was kick-started by the lightning of the lamp by Prof. (Dr.) Paramjit S. Jaswal, Vice Chancellor, SRMUH & Prof. V. Samuel Raj, Registrar, SRMUH along with the Dean, Faculty of Law, HoD, Department of Law, & the Faculty Coordinator of the event.

1. Opening Address by Registrar Sir

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Registrar, Prof. V. Samuel Raj, SRMUH. He highlighted the significance of cultural activities in fostering a well-rounded education and commended the efforts of all participants and organizers.

2. Address by Vice Chancellor Sir

Following the Registrar, Vice-Chancellor Sir, Prof. (Dr.) Paramjit S. Jaswal took the stage to further motivate the participants. He emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage and encouraged students to continue honing their artistic skills.

3. Classical Dance Solo

The first performance of the evening was a mesmerizing classical dance solo. The dancer captivated the audience with graceful movements and intricate expressions, setting a high standard for the performances to follow.

4. Punjabi Group Dance

Next, a lively Punjabi group dance brought an energetic vibe to the event. The dancers, clad in traditional attire, performed with great enthusiasm, engaging the audience with their vibrant and synchronized moves.

5. Haryanvi Dance Solo

The cultural journey continued with a solo Haryanvi dance. The performer showcased the rich cultural traditions of Haryana, combining storytelling with expressive dance moves.

6. Fashion Show - Round 1

The first round of the fashion show followed, where models walked the ramp displaying a range of stylish and innovative outfits. This segment highlighted the creativity and flair of the fashion designers among our students.

7. Bollywood Dance

A spirited Bollywood dance number was next, featuring popular hits that had the audience clapping and cheering along. The performers brought the magic of Bollywood to the stage with their energetic dance routines.

8. Punjabi Dance

Another energetic Punjabi dance performance kept the momentum going, with dancers delivering a high-energy routine that showcased the vibrant culture of Punjab.

9. Fashion Show - Round 2

The second round of the fashion show featured more dazzling outfits and confident walks, as participants competed for the coveted titles.

10. Bollywood Duo Dance

A duo performed a Bollywood dance, impressing the audience with their chemistry and well-coordinated moves. Their performance added a dynamic flair to the evening.

11. Haryanvi Group Dance

The cultural exploration continued with a group Haryanvi dance, which was both entertaining and enlightening, highlighting the traditional dance forms of Haryana.

12. Bollywood Solo Dance

A solo Bollywood dance performance followed, with the dancer captivating the audience with their charisma and dance skills.

13. Fashion Show - Round 3

The final round of the fashion show saw the models presenting the most glamorous and intricate designs, marking the culmination of the fashion segment.

14. Bollywood and Haryanvi Dance

A combined performance of Bollywood and Haryanvi dance was a unique fusion that delighted the audience, showcasing the versatility and adaptability of the performers.

15. Announcement of Titles and Closing Ceremony

The event concluded with the announcement of titles and awards, the titles were as follows:

The closing ceremony included speeches by dignitaries, thanking everyone for their contributions and participation. The decor and catering team from Sonipat brought a touch of elegance and sophistication to the venue, ensuring that the aesthetic and culinary aspects were meticulously executed. Their expertise was evident in the beautifully arranged decorations and the delicious, well-presented food that impressed all attendees.
