The Faculty of Law, SRM University, Delhi-NCR, Sonepat organized a guest lecture on Legal Entrepreneurship and Clinical Legal Education on 1 st February, 2024. The chief guest of the event was Dr. Kalpeshkumar L Gupta who is the founder of Pro Bono India, Legal Startups and Chief Administrator of Law Teachers India. He explained the role of clinical legal educations and legal entrepreneurship in achieving the agendas set for Viksit Bharat 2047. He enlightened the concept of Entrepreneurship by giving numerous practical instances along with inventive modes to pursue entrepreneurship such as Social Entrepreneur, Technopreneur, Disasterpreneur, teacherpreneur, Couplepreneur etc. He further discussed unconventional and innovative career options available to law graduates emphasizing on Legal Startups and Legal Journalism. The speaker also described different segments served by legal start-ups like B2L, B2C, B2B and B2G emphasized on lawyer to lawyer networking. He also highlighted the importance of Incubation Centres in promoting Start Up culture amongst law students. He also shared many examples of startups being initiated by law students like LIVELAW, CASEMINE, LAWTOONS, LAWSERIES, LAWCTOPUS, JRTC INTERN, LEXQUEST. The lecture was followed by an interactive question and answer session from faculty and students and concluded with a vote of thanks and felicitation of the guest by Prof (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, Dean, Faculty of Law.
