The Faculty of Law, in collaboration with the Training and Placement Department of SRMUH organized "Launchpad: Career Orientation and Placement Guidance Session" on April 24, 2024, at the Moot Court Hall, Faculty of Law. The session aimed to provide final-year law students with essential career insights and placement guidance.

Dean Sir, the Faculty of Law commenced the session by emphasizing the

Importance of effective communication and writing skills in the legal profession. To assess students' writing abilities, Dean Sir instructed them to compose a brief paragraph in their area of specialization. This activity aimed to evaluate students' proficiency and aptitude in legal writing.

Importance of social media and the writing assessment, the significance of social media platforms like LinkedIn in professional networking and career advancement was highlighted. Students were briefed on leveraging LinkedIn to update themselves in the competitive world, showcasing their skills, connecting with industry professionals, and exploring job opportunities.

Feedback Mechanism:

As part of the session, students were directed to fill out a Google Form to provide comprehensive feedback to the placement cell. This feedback mechanism serves to improve future placement initiatives by gathering insights into students' experiences, preferences, and suggestions for enhancement.

Psychometric Assessment:

Concluding the session, Ms. Mithu Mam administered a psychometric test to students to gauge their areas of interest and behavioral traits. This assessment aims to assist students in identifying suitable career paths aligned with their strengths and aspirations.

Launchpad provided final-year law students with a holistic understanding of career prospects and equipped them with essential skills and insights for professional success. The event's interactive components, including writing assessment, social media importance, feedback mechanism, and psychometric testing, contributed to its comprehensive nature and efficacy.

We extend our gratitude to the Dean, Faculty of Law, and Ms. Mithu Mam, the speakers, organizers, and participants for their valuable contributions, making Launchpad a fruitful and enriching experience for all.
